Ying Zhang

Immigration Consultant

Ying Zhang arrived in Newfoundland 16 years ago. Previously an Associate Professor in China, she later worked in immigration advising and professional development programs for international students. She has also managed various international projects and now leads international business development initiatives.

Through her personal and professional journey, Ying has gained in-depth expertise in the Canadian immigration system and processes. This knowledge enables her to provide expert guidance to foreign nationals seeking temporary or permanent residency in Canada.

In 2016, Ying became the first person of Chinese nationality in Newfoundland & Labrador to be licensed as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC). With 28 years of experience across the education and business sectors, she has worked in career advising, immigration consulting for international students, alumni, and their families, post-secondary teaching, and the development and management of international programs and projects.

Having experienced the challenges of cultural adaptation and employment integration firsthand, Ying is passionate about helping newcomers navigate these barriers. With a strong background in cross-cultural communication, she is dedicated to supporting newcomers in their settlement and successful integration into Canadian society.
