Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, Newfound Mechanical Ltd., is currently seeking an organized and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join their expanding team. In this role, you’ll support the full HR function within a busy mechanical contracting environment that includes both union and non-unionized employees across office and field operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
This role focuses on administrative HR tasks, payroll support, recruitment coordination, and maintaining accurate employee records.
HR Administration & Employee Records:
- Maintain and organize employee files (digital and physical) for both union and non-union employees.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding documentation.
- Prepare basic HR letters, forms, and employment documentation.
- Track employee certifications, trade tickets and training expiry dates.
- Additional duties may be incorporated as operational needs require.
Recruitment & Onboarding Support:
- Post job advertisements and assist with scheduling interviews across various departments.
- Assist with candidate communication and reference check.
- Prepare new hire packages for both union and non-union employees.
- Support onboarding and orientation processes.
Payroll & Time Support:
- Collect and organize timesheets from job sites and supervisors / foremen.
- Assist with review of timesheets and attendance records.
- Help track vacation, absences, and attendance.
- Support payroll processing, including verification of hours for both union and non-union employees.
- Assist with job cost coding of labour hours where required.
Health & Safety Administration:
- Maintain safety training records and employee certification.
- Assist with incident and near-miss reporting documentation.
- Support compliance documentation across job sites.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of recruitment and HR experience.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced construction environment (union and non-union workforce).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Results-driven, enthusiastic, and motivated to succeed.
