Plumber

Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, Newfound Mechanical, is seeking to fill Plumber positions (Journeyman or 3^rd/4^th year Apprentices), to work at job sites located in Atlantic Canada (mainly Nova Scotia).

Position Overview:

Journeyperson Plumber

As a Journeyperson Plumber, you will work across a variety of commercial and industrial job sites, contributing your expertise to complex mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with mechanical plumbing and heating systems

• Interpret drawings and specifications to determine system layouts for water supply, drainage, and waste systems

• Ensure work complies with applicable codes, permits, and safety regulations

• Identify and recommend areas for system improvements

• Supervise and mentor apprentice plumbers as required

 

Apprentice Plumber 

As an Apprentice you will gain hands-on experience working alongside skilled journeypersons on commercial plumbing projects, ensuring all work is completed to code.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist journeypersons with daily tasks on job sites

• Work with various piping systems and materials
• Follow instructions from supervisors and project leads, while demonstrating initiative and leadership skills

• Acquire tools and supplies as directed

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Appropriate credentials and certifications (where applicable)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
