Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, Green Seafoods, is seeking to fill a Procurement Manager position to join them in their plant in Winterton, NL.

Position Summary:

The Procurement Manager at the Winterton, NL processing facility helps oversee the acquisition and logistics of buying from independent harvesters of snow crab, whelk, sea cucumbers and mussels. Relationship building and maintenance are key aspects of this role, couple with organization of key details of raw material supply.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation: Identify and engage reliable suppliers and vendors for raw fish and shellfish.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Plan and manage the flow of incoming raw materials to ensure optimal production.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Risk Management: Develop and deploy risk mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions, or quality issues.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in seafood procurement/logistics.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.
  • Computer skills- MS Office of Suites. (Word, Excel, etc.)

 

Job Details:

  • Full-time, Seasonal
  • 30-60 hours weekly. (Schedule: 8-10 hour shift, 5-6 days weekly, 7 on exception)
