Pardy's Waste Management

Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, Pardy’s Waste Management, is seeking to fill a Parts Person role for their Mount Pearl, NL location.

The Parts Person is required to help increase productivity and have a more cost-effective shop. This is a unionized role and has benefits as outlined in the collective agreement.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure good shop housekeeping and provide assistance when necessary.
  • Maintain parts and tool inventory
  • Provide branch manager and shop supervisor opportunities for improvement
  • Assist mechanics with decision making with respect to consumable parts lifecycle management
  • Assist shop supervisor with enforcing accountabilities of mechanics with respect to schedules
  • Ensure mechanics complete proper work documentation.
  • Help allocate work based on priorities.
  • Research, source and order parts.
  • Submit PO Requisitions.
  • Check availability of warranties.
  • Maintain parts inventory and pick up parts as needed.
  • Distribute parts to mechanics.
  • Enter parts invoices into required work orders.

 

Qualifications:

  • Background in parts provision and warehousing and/or education as Parts Technician
  • 3+ years of experience with ordering parts, warehouses, merchandising, controls inventory and dispensing repair and replacement parts for the Heavy-Duty Truck/Equipment industry.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Industry experience (preferred)
  • Mechanical knowledge or repair experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Customer service skills and experience.

 

Benefits & Compensation: 

  • Competitive wage ($25.50/hour), as outlined in Collective Agreement.
  • Eligible for employee benefits as outlined in Collective Agreement.
