
MUNSU
Jump Recruitment, on behalf of our client, Memorial University of Newfoundland Students’ Union (MUNSU), is seeking to hire an Accounting Clerk at Step 1, to fulfill regular MUNSU accounting duties, with the position being located within MUN Campus in St. John’s, NL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key and verify all revenues go to appropriate G/L accounts from all services from the previous business day
- Process all miscellaneous invoices as required.
- Processing payables/receivables, payroll, and audits.
- Provide support for executives and initiatives.
- Invoice monthly for vendors and retail.
- Reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Assist with annual audits and operating budgets.
- Filing and balancing deposits.
- Print and file accurate lists of receipts and invoicing batch listing receipting posting journals.
- Reimbursement and monthly reconciliation of petty cash as required.
- Filing documents as necessary.
- Liaise with MUNSU Staff regarding invoice issues.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience as an accountant or similar role in an office environment.
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems is essential.
- Familiarity with Google suite of products and services.
- Must be bondable.
- Skill-testing accounting assessment is required.
Additional Information:
- Start Date: ASAP/Immediately.
- Salary: Accounting Clerk at Step 1 ($30.30/hour) plus benefits (As per CUPE 4554 Collective Agreement).
- Hours of Work: 8:30am-4:30pm NST (Summer Hours: 8:30am-4:00pm)
